How a round unfolds
Six beats, on a loop, until one side runs out of people or options. Nothing here happens by chance except who ends up with which role.
Registration
Anyone in the group can type /game to open a lobby.
Tapping "Join the Game" opens a DM with the bot automatically — that's also
how it confirms it can reach you for the rest of the game.
- 4 players minimum, 30 maximum
- Host or admins can add 60 seconds with
/extend, up to 3 times - Host or admins can start early with
/beginonce there's enough for a game
Night
Everyone with a power gets a private prompt with buttons. Whatever you choose is locked in the moment you tap it — there's no changing your mind.
- Most roles resolve and notify instantly the second they act
- Death Eaters are the exception — their curse depends on a majority vote among the whole team, so it only resolves once the night ends
- A Death Eater who won't vote two nights running quietly loses their place in the game — desertion has consequences
Morning
The castle wakes up — and finds out who didn't. If someone fell, their role is revealed immediately, right there in the report. No delay, no ambiguity.
- Sometimes nobody falls at all — that's information too
- A player who's fallen can send one last message any time afterward, and it's shared with the group the moment they write it
Discussion
The group sees who's still standing and which roles are still somewhere in the mix — never whose is whose. This is the only window to talk before the vote opens.
- Only living, unsilenced players can speak here — the bot enforces it
- If you've bought a Patronus Charm, you'll be offered the chance to use it automatically on a night you own one
Vote
Everyone eligible gets a private ballot. Voting stays private — no pile-on pressure — but the group sees each name land in real time as votes come in.
- Your vote is final the instant you cast it
- A tie means nobody's expelled that day — there's no runoff
- A clear majority sends someone to Azkaban, role revealed, on the spot
Repeat, or Game Over
If nobody's won yet, night falls again. If a win condition is met, the game ends with a full reveal — every name, every role, who was really on which side.
Four ways a game can finish
🕊️ Every Death Eater is gone
Including Voldemort, if they'd awoken. The Order doesn't need to know who anyone was — just that no threats remain.
💀 Numbers tip their way
The moment their side matches or outnumbers everyone left alive, the game is theirs.
👻 Last one standing
A Dementor doesn't care about sides — if they're the only one left breathing, they win alone.
🎭 An unresolved draw
If the game collapses into total, tie-locked chaos with nobody left to claim a side, Peeves calls it a win.
